Welcome!
In 1988 I was a passenger in a taxi when it was involved in motor vehicle accident. As I was getting off from the taxi, part of my skirt was closed in by the taxi door. When the taxi was driving off, I fell and my head hit the tarred road and it dragged me on the road until the driver was alerted about what was happening. The impact of the head injury made me to be on sick leave for a week.
In 1994 I was again a passenger in a taxi when we it was involved in a motor vehicle accident, my head hit the taxi roof. I was admitted at H. F. Verwoerd hospital, presently known as Steve Biko Hospital. I was transferred to Muelmed Private Hospital and was on a neck traction for a week.
I had my 3rd motor vehicle accident in 2003. I was knocked down by a motor car and lost consciousnesses. I regained consciousness in the ambulance on the way to the hospital. At Steve Biko was given Panado for pain and was discharged on the same day. I realized at home that I was bleeding on head. In the morning I went to MedForum Hospital, where my head wound was attended to. I was booked sick for a week as In had excruciating headache. I’m presently experiencing Post Concussion Symptoms (Syndromes), namely headaches, fatigue, struggle with concentration, irritability, dizziness, depression and anxiety.
As a result of my experiences as documented above, I have personal interest and knowledge of the conditions that I treat.
